My Election Fears Almost Realized

without comments

I say almost simply because he hasn’t begun working yet. Because while he will have an active role along side President Bush for the remainder of his term, he has months to go before he makes any real impact as the President of the United States.

I have to admit, as per usual with Obama, that his speech was impressive. He is a great speaker, but I still have my doubts about whether he will ever give himself the chance to speak of great things.

For all I’ve said and discussed and debated, it now comes down to what he will do in office. It is about the issues he will push, and the policies he will endorse.

It’s a matter of his willingness to follow his predicesors verses his desire to really change the way the President handles the responsibility. Will he understand and obide by the meaning of the Executive Order? Clinton and Bush haven’t.

My point in short, I am very nervous about what will happen during Obama’s term as President, but until he actually does one of the things that I fear he will, I will support my President.

Doomsday Election? Maybe …

without comments

I must admit, looking at the graphic on ABC News right now showing Obama and McCain at 0 Votes each is truly terrifying me.

On one hand, I see John McCain and all the ways in which he resembles President Bush. I for one have never approved of George Bush as President, and I have always thought of myself as a Democrat.

But while paying attention the past few months, I’ve only seen one important fact. Now I know that many of you will say that there are a lot of important issues in this election. From the war and terrorism, to the economy and bail out plans, there are plenty of high priority issues, but none of them really have any impact on the election.

The one concern I have, which is what terrifies me, is that I’ve heard so much from the Obama camp about change and doing this and that, but … and you knew there was a but … I see Obama being challenged on an issue and then changing his stance.

Is it really all that bad for a Presidential candidate to exhibit signs of being willing to adapt to the country’s voice? Not at all, but when is the last time that we thought of such rapid and unpredictable change as a good thing?

I look at it the same way as I look at the brakes on my car, if they only work sometimes, then I’ve got a huge problem. Or how about a job, what if the employer said, “We’re going to pay you $12.00 an hour based on the times that you record on the time clock.”

Then when payday comes around and your paycheck isn’t what you expected, they say, “Oh, well we decided that the best way to do this is to let our dedicated team of managers monitor when you begin and finish working and take notes, that way you get paid for all the work that you do regardless of some silly time clock.”

For me, that is a huge problem, it’s unreliable, it’s inconsistent, and it’s not worthy of my vote.

Obama also has too many issues arise about things that shouldn’t be associated with a good candidate. The whole terrorist friend thing did get overplayed, I’ll agree, but the point still remains that it’s an awfully risky proposition to even have those questions about a U.S. Presidential Candidate.

What about this little trip to see his ill grandmother? It happened right after someone threw a legitimate sounding accusation that Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. and then the ideas that perhaps he left his campaign not for a sick family member, but to get his birth certificate and make the necessary alterations.

And now, as I type this, I hear CNN bringing up the race subject. For the love of God, why can’t people move past the race issue?

There are so many racists in this country, and I really am shocked by this mainly because of the huge rise in folks that say they are voting for Obama because he is “one of their own”. BULLSHIT.

I am not voting for a black man to be President of my country, I’m voting for a man to be the President of my country. Color is not a factor.

He could be green, and aside from obvious health concerns, I wouldn’t think twice about voting for him IF HIS POLITICS ARE SOUND!

Sadly, I see many people being asked why they are voting for one or the other, and so far, Only those voting for McCain can answer questions about why they are voting for him with policies, and politics.

What’s even worse, is that some of the economic policies that the Obama camp is promoting directly can be quoted from Fascist and Socialist governments of the past. I know and love my Constitution, and I love this Republic, and I fear what may become of it with such a smooth talking person at the helm. John McCain is the best choice for President, even if only because he is the lesser of two evils. Ron Paul had the best policies of any political entity that I’ve ever encountered. I was sad to the real best candidate concede his run.

MyHomeSeeker FREE Property Listings

without comments

Well, no surprise that I’ve been MIA for a few weeks on my blog, happens every once in a while. Of course, I don’t usually have any better a reason for doing so than just because I didn’t feel like writing any new posts.

But this time, I actually was doing something else, and I’ve been working 10-14 hour days working on it. In fact, I’m still working on it, as I’m even writing this post mainly because of that.

It is called Home Seeker Inc. I spoke a bit about it in my last blog. Okay, so the whole post was about the website. MyHomeSeeker.com, and it’s a very nice little project that I was lucky enough to fall into. I say I’m lucky because the owner of the site and company is someone who not only has experience in the market, but a great drive to succeed and a good cash flow to make it happen. What is that old saying? Takes money to make money.

It certainly does, but again, luckily the owner is willing to make this take off.

The idea is simple, and even though my last post was about it, I’m writing another one because some things have changed.

That is why I got into it, to help things change, though I didn’t expect any of them to be because of an error. But that’s what happened, and I was the backup plan to get things rolling. The result of my work is the all new MyHomeSeeker.com, which inspired some big changes in pricing and marketing, as well as added a butt load of nice features for people to use.

The price per listing is now $29.95 for all listings, unless you buy in bulk. Buy 5 at once and pay $69.95, and for realtors that purchase 100 at once, they’ll only pay about $6 per ad. You just can’t beat prices like that.

You might be asking what you get for that price, well, you get Virtual Tours, videos, photos, floor plans, handy flyer generation, as well as the usual information and descriptions. What’s better is that you only pay the fee once, and the listing is paid until it either sells or rents. And it’s not like forsalebyowner.com where the until sold claim actually only lasts a year.

Not a bad deal overall. But I doubt I have very many folks trying to sell or rent out a property on my blog, so it doesn’t make much of a difference.

Maybe google will pick up the article though, maybe it will catch the great features, or the even better prices. If so, then I’m sure it will catch this next bit, who couldn’t use FREE property advertising?

The owner and myself are so confident in this project that a sort of Grand Opening promotion has been declared, in which all listings placed before Monday October 27, 2008 are completely free. All the listings on our site get all features available to them as well. There is no fighting for space among the so called Featured Listings, like other sites. That wouldn’t be very helpful, now would it? We’d be just like any other site if we did that.

So, you get all of the above features, which makes your listings basically limit free in every aspect, and as long as you create them before next Monday they’ll be completely free. We only charge once to create an ad anyway, and we’re even comping that charge.

So I say it again, who doesn’t want FREE property advertising? It doesn’t if you have a house, a duplex, a triplex, a condo, an office space or an office building, a parking lot or a farm, or even just an undeveloped lot for sale, MyHomeSeeker.com is the answer that everyone is searching so desperately to find in the real estate crunch.

It’s all about exposure, and we’re giving away a truck load of it. Come get some.

Just be sure to do it before our normal rates apply on Monday 10/27/08. Free quality advertising beats dirt cheap quality advertising anyday.
